We are pleased to announce the addition of our Simrad SY50 Omnidirectional Sonar system to OSC’s expanding suite of marine monitoring technologies. This system provides enhanced underwater detection capability and situational awareness to support offshore operations, environmental monitoring, fisheries research, and subsea survey projects.
As offshore industries continue to operate in increasingly complex marine environments, reliable subsea data and real-time situational awareness are essential. The introduction of this system further strengthens OSC’s ability to deliver integrated, high-performance monitoring solutions that support environmental protection, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
Complementing this capability, OSC’s omnidirectional medium-frequency fish-finding sonar system is engineered for coastal fisheries and designed for reliable performance on smaller vessels. Operating at 55–59 kHz, with detection ranges of up to 2,500 metres depending on conditions, the system provides clear acoustic imagery and full 360° coverage around the vessel. Adjustable beam control allows monitoring throughout the water column, while built-in stabilisation supports consistent performance in varying sea conditions. Integrated chirp technology enhances image clarity, and onboard recording functionality enables data review and analysis when required.
This technology enables OSC to provide enhanced marine monitoring capabilities, supporting offshore construction, marine mammal mitigation, fisheries surveys, environmental baseline studies, and subsea observation activities.
With decades of experience in marine mammal mitigation, environmental monitoring, and offshore survey support, OSC combines advanced technology with scientific expertise. Our trained personnel ensure that all equipment is deployed effectively and in accordance with recognised best practice and regulatory requirements.
